Coupling

The main characteristic of Sung-Il Oldham Coupling is flexibility for very high parallel misalignment. In SOH series, torque is transferred through the spacer which can receive misalignment errors. The simple SOH structure makes it easy for the unit to be installed without having to remove the clutch from the shaft. Please note that excessive loads can damage the spacer.

When there is angular misalignment, a conventional Oldham clutch cannot accept the flexibility so that the shaft will be forced to be flexed by the clutch. In contrast to Sung-Il Oldham coupling which has been processed with a micro rounding process so that it can receive angular misalignment.
