Coupling

Sung-Il Disk Coupling has the ability of high misalignment absorption with built-in plate spring. SD series can rotate at high speed in one direction or 2 directions, besides that, the SD series also has high torsional stiffness and zero backlash so that it is most suitable for applications that require high precision.

There are 2 types of Sung-Il Disk coupling, namely SDS and SDW series. SDS series is a single disk coupling that has high torsional stiffness, but low flexibility for misalignment. Where as the SDW series is a double disk coupling that has flexibility for high misalignment, but low torsional fatigue
 
The most important part that affects SD series quality is the number of plate spring installations. Sung-Il machinery offers additional plate spring quantities according to customer needs. The more number of plate springs that are used, then the strength, torsional stiffness, and reaction force on the shaft will increase. But the addition of the plate spring needs to be considered, excessive addition of plate spring can increase the reaction force on the shaft and can have a negative effect on the equipment connected to the coupling.
